Dolph Ziggler trying to kiss Nikki Bella back on a January 2016 episode of WWE Total Divas will forver be iconic.

For those that don't know, Total Divas as a reality show WWE and E produced, following around the company's female superstars in their everday lives.

The show looked at the relationships the stars had with other members of the roster, producing some truly iconic moments.

One of those moments came six years ago, where Dolph Ziggler tried to kiss Nikki Bella backstage at a Raw show.

The moment, which you can check out below, was part of a Total Divas episode released in January 2016, but was actually filmed in April 2015.

For context, the story throughout the show at the time was about how Nikki and John Cena, who were dating at the time, were clashing about whether or not they'd get married and have children.

Esentially, Cena didn't want to get married and have children, whereas it'd been something that Nikki had always wanted.

Dolph and Nikki had dated previously, and the former World Champion approached his former girlfriend backstage, clearly aware of the issue, and told her he'd be able to give her marriage and kids.

Dolph ended up trying to kiss Nikki, but she rejected his advances and slapped him, resulting in a quite funny clip. She then walked off, saying she thought more of the WWE Superstar.

To make matters even more interesting, Cena was at the building when Nikki slapped Dolph, with Total Divas showing him wrestling Stardust at the same time on the April 6 episode of WWE Raw.

Later in the show, as you can also see from the clip in the embedded tweet above, Nikki sat down with her boyfriend and told him what had happened while they ate dinner together.

And Cena's reaction, especially for someone who'd just heard that his collegue had just tried to going behind his back, undercut him and kiss his girlfriend, was ice cold.

There was a lot of debate at the time about how scripted Total Divas was. While it was presented as a reality show by WWE, many feel that the show and those taking part were heavily actually scripted and produced.

Regardless, Total Divas produced some hilarious moments like this, with many fans wanting to see the showe teturn after it was discontinued in December 2019.
