Barcelona emerged victorious in their clash against Real Madrid in Las Vegas on Saturday evening.

Raphinha's 27th minute goal was the difference as Barca won 1-0.

Real failed to muster a single shot-on-target during the 90 minutes and Ronald Araujo was a big reason for that.

The Uruguayan defender, 23, has been a colossus for Barca over the past few years.

He's emerged into a fan favourite since making his debut for the first-team in 2019.

Araujo started at right-back against Real and had the task of defending against one of the best wingers in the world at the moment: Vinicius Jr.

But Araujo more than held his own against the Brazilian superstar.

Fan footage has now emerged of Araujo going full beast mode to flatten Vinicius and new Real signing, Aurélien Tchouaméni, during the match.

Araujo intercepted Vinicius' pass and then sent his opponent to the ground. Vinicius got up only to be shrugged off again.

Tchouaméni then tried to win the ball back but, like Vinicius, is sent to the ground by Araujo.

The Barcelona defender then kept his composure and clipped the ball forward to a Barca player. Watch the moment below...

Araujo also went viral for a clash with Antonio Rudiger during the match.

When the German defender ran in to a melee to confront Gavi, Araujo charged in and gave him a piece of his mind.

The two players squared up to each other for just over 10 seconds before being pulled apart.

Barcelona may be in all sorts of financial trouble, but with young talent like Pedri, Gavi, Araujo and Ansu Fati, their future is still very bright.

Barca drew 2-2 against Juventus on Tuesday evening, with Ousmane Dembele scoring both of Barca's goals.

Araujo did not take part in the match as he was given a rest. He could return for Barca's next pre-season friendly against New York Red Bulls on Saturday evening.
