After a successful season, we’ll be predicting the players' NBA 2k23 ratings for the Memphis Grizzlies in the new upcoming game.
One of the biggest surprises of the NBA season of 2021–2022 was the Memphis Grizzlies. With a record of 56-26, Memphis had the second-best record in the league and advanced to the Western Conference semi-finals.
As one of its most thrilling seasons ever played out in front of them, Memphis put the league on notice. NBA 2k23's designers have also been following suit.
Since it is now the off-season, NBA fans may start discussing a variety of subjects, such as the draft, free agency, and summer league predictions.
However, a favourite subject is how 2K, an American video game publisher with headquarters in Novato, California, will modify the player ratings of different NBA players.
A player's rating may receive a much-needed lift from 2k to reflect their current level of play, especially if they had a strong postseason run or a breakout season.
Considering that NBA 2k23 won't be released until September 9th, these predictions will have to do in the absence of any official rating announcements from the video game publisher.

Memphis Grizzlies players predicted ratings in NBA 2K23
We’ll now do the rating predictions for each of the Grizzlies’ players currently signed for next season.
Rookies
Below are the rookies predicted ratings:
Jake LaRavia
- 19th Pick
- Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 71
David Roddy
- 23rd Pick
- Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 70
Kennedy Chandler
- 38th Pick
- Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 68
Vince Williams Jr.
- 47th Pick
- Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 67
Kenneth Lofton Jr.
- Undrafted
- Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 66
Keve Aluma
- Undrafted
- Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 64
New Vets
Below are the new vets predicted ratings:
Danny Green
Like many previous times before with the Grizzlies, I believe this might result in a buyout or trade. However, they might wow us and decide to maintain the 40 percent career 3-point shooter just in case we lose a guard to injury.
Both Danny Green's ACL and MCL were torn, which are terrible injuries in and of themselves but are particularly bad for a 35-year-old. I think Danny's overall grade will suffer as a result of his lengthy rehabilitation timeline.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 73
- Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 70
Returning Vets
Below are the returning vets predicted ratings:
Killian Tillie
Only 36 games were played last season by the undrafted Frenchman, with three of those starts. He only played 12.8 minutes a game, scoring 3.3 ppg while shooting 33% from the field.
Also absent from the Memphis Grizzlies' stacked summer league roster is Killian. He might not play much this upcoming season due to the presence of numerous draft picks, signed undrafted rookies, and a deeper bench.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 69
- Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 68
Santi Aldama
Last season, Santi won over many fans. He contributed crucial minutes toward the end of the season, scoring 20 points in 31 minutes against Boston on 7 of 16 shooting and 12 points in 21 minutes against a Suns team that was fully healthy on 5 of 8 shooting.
In the opening game of the Salt Lake City Summer League games, Aldama logged the most playing time of any player. He just lacks the confidence to realize his potential as an important team member.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 70
- Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 72
Ziaire Williams
The rookie from the previous season gave the Grizzlies a successful debut season. Ziaire provided us with crucial minutes during separate stretches when Dillon Brooks and Ja Morant were injured, starting half (31) of the games he participated in (62).
Williams had a decent field goal percentage of 45%. (63% inside the 3pt line). Z scored 15 points in the first game of the Salt Lake City Summer League, including 8 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. He will keep improving and become a fantastic player for the Grizzlies.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 74
- NBA 2k23 Predicted Rating: 77
John Konchar
Fans have long favoured Konchar as a player. He is one of my favourite Grizzlies players, and without him, the squad wouldn't feel the same. Even if his season stats aren't particularly outstanding, "Konch" is one of the Grizzlies' fiercest players and biggest hustlers, thus he easily passes the eye test.
He's had some significant performances this year, including his 17-point triple-double against the Celtics and three additional double-doubles. He could experience an improvement, especially in his rebounding and hustling ratings, which should raise his total rating.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 75
- NBA 2k23 Predicted Rating: 76
Xavier Tillman Sr.
This past season, Xavier Tillman averaged 13.2 minutes per game, and his starting status shifted around like a roller coaster. He would play for the next 22 minutes of one game for just 5 minutes. There was no doubt that Xavier would step up if necessary.
The most significant instance occurred in Game 3 against the Timberwolves, when Tillman scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds while limiting Karl-Anthony Towns to 15 points, which was his second-lowest series total. Xavier has developed much as a player, thus his defensive statistics ought to improve.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 76
- NBA 2k23 Predicted Rating: 77
Brandon Clarke
Brandon Clarke had a down year in year 2 after his excellent debut year. Fortunately, this past season, Clarke started to rediscover his rhythm, increasing his field goal percentage by 64.4% compared to 51% last season.
A crucial role player in the Timberwolves series when Jaren Jackson Jr. found himself in foul trouble, he also rediscovered his defensive stride. Despite the fact that his score totals remained unchanged, his defensive ratings should keep rising.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 78
- NBA 2k23 Predicted Rating: 79
Tyus Jones
This previous season, Tyus Jones once again lead the league in the assist-to-turnover ratio. He stayed, despite some concerns that he would sign with a team in the free agency where he could continue to develop as the starting point guard.
Tyus has a favourable rating from 2k, but as his passing develops along with his performances while Ja Morant was out, so does his rating. His rating ought to get a little bump.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 80
- NBA 2k23 Predicted Rating: 82
Dillon Brooks
Whatever you may think of Dillon Brooks, he is a talented player. Although he doesn't choose his shots well, he is a good defender. You can always tell when his shots are hitting. Although he was expected to be traded, I believe he will stay and continue to improve his shooting and defence.
He embodies the 3-and-D player ideal, and will benefit because of his improved free-throw percentage, field goal percentage, and rebounding average.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 81
- NBA 2k23 Predicted Rating: 82
Steven Adams
In fewer minutes than the season before, Steven Adams raised his rebounding to 10 per game from 8 per game and his assists to 3.5 per game from 1.9 per game. His scoring only slightly decreased to 6.9 points from 7.6 points per game, but he took fewer shots.
Steven's new role involved more passing, grabbing rebounds, and defensive big play. Since Steven does not have to score for the Grizzlies to win, most of his shots are second-chance points.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 83
- NBA 2k23 Predicted Rating: 84
Desmond Bane
This ought to be the game's biggest leap this season. Desmond did have some excellent ratings spikes in NBA 2k22 toward the end of the season, but he still has room to grow.
One of the leading scorers for the Grizzlies is Desmond, and he had an outstanding postseason. During the playoffs, he had a 49 percent 3-point shooting rate. Going into the upcoming season, he deserves a higher rating because he will only improve and show that he is a reliable secondary scoring option.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 84
- NBA 2k23 Predicted Rating: 86
Jaren Jackson Jr.
Jaren Jackson Jr.'s rating may be high or low depending on how 2K Sports handles it in light of his injury. Despite having a lot of foul issues throughout the playoffs, this season he had the most blocks and steals in the NBA. His defensive rating ought to be really high.
This previous season, Jaren may have been the finest defensive player. Jaren was competing with Rudy Gobert for defensive player of the year even though Rudy almost won. In addition, Jaren increased his 3-point percentage from 28% in 20–21 to 32% in 20–22. Although this is not a remarkable figure, it should be sufficient to increase his 74 total 3 point ratings.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 84
- NBA 2k23 Predicted Rating: 89
Ja Morant
Ja Morant, the NBA's Most Improved Player for 2021–2022, has developed into everything we had hoped he would. He truly is a human high point, and he keeps getting better. Right now, Ja's 3-point shooting is his major weakness. Ja, however, increased his 3-point shooting efficiency from 30% to 34%.
Just ahead of Finals MVP Stephen Curry, Ja placed seventh in the MVP voting. Ja was a second-round pick by Kevin Durant and an All-Star starter in terms of pure marketability. His All-Star status will improve his rating more than his presence in the line-up.
Ja Morant might not receive a 98 or higher overall, but I believe he will still rank among the top players in the contest. Ja Morant may have another MVP-calibre season, which is significant for his 2K rating.
- NBA 2k22 Rating: 93
- NBA 2k23 Predicted Rating: 96
