Guangchang, owner of Fosun International, took over Wolves in 2016 and has splashed the cash to get them back in the Premier League. They're now an established side in the top-flight and have enjoyed runs in European competitions thanks to his millions.

9. Todd Boehly, Chelsea (£3.6bn)

Boehly's consortium completed the takeover from Roman Abramovich earlier this month and, while the American doesn't have the riches of the Russian, he's still worth £3.6bn. Boehly part-owns baseball's Los Angeles Dodgers and basketball's Los Angeles Lakers.

8. Hansjorg Wyss, Chelsea (£4bn)

Wyss, 86, is a Swiss businessman and will join Boehly on the board at Stamford Bridge.

He's described as "one of the most philanthropic people in the world" and has pledged to donate $1 billion to global conservation efforts by 2028.

7. Daniel Kretinsky, West Ham (£4.1bn)

Kretinsky bought a 27% stake in West Ham back in November 2021. He's also agreed to buy the club outright in the future.

The Czech lawyer already co-owns and is president of Sparta Prague as well as owning 10% of Sainsbury's.

Harris, along with David Blitzer, invested in Crystal Palace in 2017.

He has a decent sporting portfolio with basketball team the Philadelphia 76ers and ice hockey team the New Jersey Devils on his books.

Businessman, Lewis, bought a controlling stake in Spurs back in 2001 in a move that saw Daniel Levy become chairman.

Sawiris is a member of Egpyt's richest family and tops Forbes' World's Richest Arabs. He owns Aston Villa alongside American billionaire Wes Edens.

He also has stakes in MSG sports and Adidas.

3. Shahid Khan, Fulham (£5.9bn)

Khan has owned NFL side Jacksonville Jaguars since 2011 and purcashed the club from Mohamed Al Fayed in 2013. He made his money in the automotive industry.

2. Stan Kroenke, Arsenal (£8.8bn)

Kroenke has been involved with Arsenal since 2007 and took outright ownership in 2018 when he bought Alishmer Usmanov's stake in the club.

If you're wondering why the second richest man in English football hasn't pumped more money into Arsenal, it's because he also owns MLS side Colorado Rapids, ice hockey's Colorado Avalanche, basketball's Denver Nuggets and Super Bowl champions the Los Angeles Rams.

1. Lakshmi Mittal, QPR (£13bn)

The richest man in English football.

Mittal, the 102nd richest person in the world, co-owns Championship side QPR.

The Indian made his money in steel and became a board member at the cub in 2007 with Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore who have now both left the club.
