England fans will still be reliving the glorious scenes at Bramall Lane last night as the Lionesses booked a place in the Euro 2022 final.Beth Mead, Lucy Bronze, Alessia Russo and Fran Kirby were on the scoresheet as England secured a stunning 4-0 victory over Sweden.A crowd of 28,624 were in attendance to witness the spectacle, creating a brilliant atmosphere before, during and after the match.The players soaked up the atmosphere after the final whistle went, running over to one corner of the ground to sing ‘Sweet Caroline’ with the crowd.Ellen White was one of the first over, and she looked utterly overwhelmed at the sheer adoration radiating from the stands.In one clip, the Manchester City striker was captured with her hands on her head in disbelief, before joining in with the song.In fairness, White, who is the Lionesses’ all-time top goalscorer, had good reason to be ecstatic.

The 33-year-old has played in four semi-finals at major international tournaments, but lost the previous three – against Japan at the 2015 World Cup, the Netherlands at Euro 2017, and the United States at the 2019 World Cup.

It will subsequently be White’s first time playing in the final of a major international tournament, and at Wembley no less.

England will play either France or Germany in the final on July 31st, with the remaining semi-final set to be contested at Stadium MK this evening.

Sarina Wiegman’s side have captivated the nation during their incredible run at Euro 2022, with a peak TV audience of 9.3 million tuning in on BBC One last night.

A further two million viewers watched on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.

The viewing figures have risen for every match, with England attracting more and more fans as they racked up impressive victories against Austria, Norway, Northern Ireland and Spain.

White has played in every game so far, scoring twice during her team’s 8-0 demolition of Norway.
