Despite the fact pre-season matches are classed as 'friendlies', there are still regularly incidents in which things get very, very heated.Just last weekend, Ronald Araujo and Antonio Rudiger squared up to each other during Barcelona's 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in Las Vegas. And during Tottenham Hotspur's 1-1 draw with Sevilla, Richarlison was accused of trying to throw a punch at Gonzalo Montiel after tempers flared between the two sets of players.Yeah, pre-season friendlies are not always the calm preparatory affairs they are supposed to be.That was certainly the case during Real Betis and Marseille's encounter at Chesterfield FC's Proact Stadium on Wednesday evening. The two sides played out a 1-1 draw at the home of the National League club. Arkadiusz Milik opened the scoring in the 87th minute, before Rodri grabbed an equaliser just three minutes later. But neither goal was the headline moment from the match. Instead, that belongs to a scuffle involving former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi and Andres Guardado.Matteo Guendouzi in action with MarseilleROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - APRIL 28: Matteo Guendouzi of Olympique reacts during the UEFA Conference League Semi Final Leg One match between Feyenoord and Olympique Marseille at De Kuip on April 28, 2022 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Handbags, handbags everywhere.

Guardado going full Marouane Fellaini in a 'friendly', file that under things you never thought you'd see.

In case you're a bit baffled as to why we've mentioned the Belgian midfielder, don't worry, we'll quickly jog your memory.

During a match between Manchester United and Arsenal at Old Trafford in December of 2018, which finished 2-2, Fellaini went viral for fouling Guendouzi by pulling on his long locks.

Well, that's one way to stop him...

Guendouzi joined Marseille on a permanent basis this summer from Arsenal after spending the 2021/22 campaign on loan at the French club.

He was very impressive last season, scoring four goals and assisting a further six in his 38 league appearances.

Guendouzi is also now part of France's senior squad and has six caps under his belt at the time of writing.
