FIFA 23 has a new power shot in the game, here we have how to perform it correctly and everything else you need to know about it.

FIFA has come a long way in terms of how you can score goals in the game. Back in the older versions of the titles, we essentially had one way to goal - just shoot. However now as the game has advanced and so has modern-day football. With many players in real life having unique shot types such as Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland and Heung-Min Son, we now have a plethora of shot types that have been implemented into the game to give you the best chance of hitting the back of the net.

We have finesse shots, chip shots, low-driven shots and many more - but it appears we're getting an entirely new redesigned shot in FIFA 23, known as the 'Power Shot'.

Power Shots are a new skill-based shot type that adds extra power and accuracy to a shot at the cost of time and a higher degree of input precision. Only the best players will be able to perform these expertly, so here we have all the information you need to know on how to perform the new shot.

How to perform the power shot in FIFA 23

Power Shots are a new skill-based shot type that adds extra power and accuracy to a shot at the

Here’s how to perform a Power Shot:

  • Press L1+R1+O on PlayStation controllers or LB+RB+B on Xbox controllers

To be successful with Power Shots, players need to consider the following:

  • Plenty of space around the ball carrier is usually needed, as each Power Shots requires
    a significant wind-up.
  • Aiming generally needs to be more precise, since Power Shots do not behave like
    default Assisted Shots and rely heavily on the player’s aim to be successful.

EA state that their intent with the addition of Power Shots is to introduce an additional layer of skill to shooting, designed so that players who manage to carve out their own space and aim precisely are
rewarded for doing so.
