Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Charles Oliveira UFC dream fight simulated

Boxing Fight Simulations have posted a recent video on YouTube showcasing a simulated fight between Charles Oliveira and Khabib Nurmagomedov on UFC 4.

With Khabib having been retired from MMA for over a year, it seems unlikely that fans will ever get to see what would happen if The Eagle were to ever face his successor and current king of the lightweight division Charles Oliveira.

Luckily for us, simulations can get us pretty close to showcasing what would go down in the Octagon when real life does not quite permit the match-up. And Boxing Fight Simulations put the big bout to the test on UFC 4, which features an un-retired Khabib and a 30-year-old Oliveira, with the game being made in 2020.

The fight begins with some impressive strikes and kicks by Oliveira, however, it takes just less than a minute before Khabib pins the Brazilian down onto the ground to suffer some classic Khabib pounding.

Oliveira holds out for the end of the round, but does not last long in the second before a smooth takedown by Khabib gets the Brazilian in a difficult position on the ground again.

Khabib then isolates Oliveira’s arm and performs a Kimura Lock before forcing the Brazilian to tap out early in the second round.

The simulation thus did not present a very competitive fight, with the recent UFC Hall of Fame inductee dominating the current no.1 lightweight Oliveira and forcing him into submission, an ending that Khabib himself has predicted were the fight to ever occur.

Despite the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt being renowned for his grappling skills, Khabib has previously claimed that Oliveira has no ground game, arguing: “He [Oliveira] don’t have ground game, if you tap eight times in UFC, how can you say you have ground game? You tap eight time, you understand?”

Khabib’s recent comments critiquing Oliveira have arose in the build-up for his likely bout against Khabib’s training partner and long-time friend Islam Makhachev for the vacant lightweight title.

The ultimate Khabib Nurmagomedov quiz: Where was he born?

Khabib has expressed great confidence in Makhachev’s ability to beat Oliveira. However, should the current top dog in the division be victorious over Makhachev and regain his lightweight crown, who knows if it may just inspire Khabib to return to the Octagon to avenge his friend’s defeat and silence those who compare Oliveira to himself.
