Oleksandr Usyk's KO of Tony Bellew: Footage shows Brit mocking & taunting him

Oleksandr Usyk KO vs Tony Bellew

Oleksandr Usyk is one of the biggest names in boxing and is deemed as one of, if not the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world currently.

He’s the unified heavyweight champion after defeating Anthony Joshua in their first bout, holding the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO belts, with Tyson Fury stopping him being undisputed as the Gypsy King holds the WBC belt in the heavyweight division.

The Ukrainian will defend his belts next month when he takes on Joshua in their eagerly anticipated rematch in Saudi Arabia, with Usyk having the chance to cement himself in boxing immortality.

It will be a tough task for AJ to regain his belts and get revenge, with Usyk still undefeated in his career, boasting a 19-0 record.

Of his 19 wins 13 of them have been knockouts, with Tony Bellew feeling the full force of the Ukrainian in their cruiserweight clash in 2018.

The victory saw Usyk remain the undisputed cruiserweight champion after his eighth round stoppage at the Manchester Arena, with the win coming via tactical knockout.

It was the last fight of the Scouser’s career and he certainly tried to go out with a bang by becoming the first British fighter to hold all four belts in a weight division, but he came up short.

During the fight, he was taunting his opponent, with Usyk not standing for any of the messing around and putting Bellew back in his place.

It was constant throughout the fight from Bellew, as he was trying to taunt his opponent, with Usyk not responding and rising to his antics, letting his fists do the talking.

Bellew was seen egging on Usyk, gesturing to him which looked to be a ‘come on then’ type of motion, ‘show me what you have, I’m waiting’ with Usyk doing just that in the eighth round.

The Bomber also leaned on the ropes to mimic how easy the fight was and that he could just go and relax despite the gravity of the situation.

Usyk again didn’t rise to the taunts, with him landing the knockout blow four rounds later to cement his place as an all-time great of the cruiserweight division before stepping up to fight in the heavyweight division.

It was certainly an impressive looking knockout from Usyk, with Bellew landing in the ropes dramatically, with the ultimate taunt from the Ukrainian after his opponent had leaned on the ropes earlier in the fight.
