Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is showing off both what he has been working on and what he aspires to me in an epic photo at training camp.

Derrick Henry is without a question one of the most dominant running backs in the National Football League right now, leading the league in rushing in two of the past three seasons (including only the 8th 2,000 yard season in 2021), helping the Tennessee Titans to become one of the teams with an outside chance of making the Super Bowl every year.

However, whilst he has been dominant in the regular season, the past two trips to the playoffs have been something of a disappointment for him. He was held to just 40 yards by the Baltimore Ravens in 2020 and then last season was hampered by an injury he picked up in the regular season as they lost to the Cincinnati Bengals picking up just 62 yards off 20 rushes.

But this season is the chance to put down a fresh marker on the league and make up for the failures that he has been through in the past two campaigns, and as he’s more than happy to document, he has certainly been bulking up to inflict even more punishment on opposing defenders.

Putting the work in

During the offseason Henry has been posting pictures and videos of him working out in various methods, including this video that shows off pretty much every muscle that he has in his body:

And when it comes to Henry, these are certainly not just for show as he has demonstrated in the past, he can use them to push over anybody that tries to get in his way:

Time to make it count

With the downtime now over and attention focusing primarily to work on the field as teams begin training camp, it is time for Henry to start using what he gained in the gym on the football field as he and the Titans get ready for the 2022 NFL season.

And as the Titans posted on social media, he certainly looks ready for it as he should off not only his incredible body as he walked down to the field, but did so with a tribute to one of the men who he’ll have to topple to go down as arguably the best running back in Titans/Oilers history in Eddie George:

George leads the team in rushing yards with 10,009 yards, although falls slightly behind the great Earl Campbell in the touchdown count by a score of 73 to 64. Henry for the record has 6,797 yards and 65 touchdowns, so a few more years and he could well hold both of those records.

Then we might see Eddie George rocking Derrick Henry t-shirts instead.
