Oleksandr Zinchenko is now an Arsenal player. After six trophy-laden years at Manchester City, Ukraine's versatile captain has opted for a new challenge and a reunion with Mikel Arteta.Arsenal coughed up around £30 million to sign Zinchenko on a four-year deal, which for a very talented 25-year-old player in the current market is a bit of a bargain. But while first-team football will be far easier to come by in north London, Zinchenko was clearly a bit upset about having to leave City this summer. He was a very popular figure in Pep Guardiola's squad and judging by footage of his farewell speech, the former Shakhtar Donetsk man really will miss being a part of the furniture at the home of the Premier League champions.A video of a tearful Zinchenko saying goodbye for his former teammates has cropped up on social media and you can see just how much the club means to him.

After receiving a hug from Guardiola, Zinchenko said: "First of all I would like to say a massive thanks to the fantastic staff for this amazing opportunity to play a small part in this amazing club.

"I couldn't even dream that one day I would be a City player. I thought it was impossible. Every single day that I was spending here, I was learning a lot from everyone – all of you.

"I want to say thanks to everyone, from the kitchen to the medical staff. You know everyone. My phone is open for you 24 hours, you know this.

"All of you, not just the players and the coaching staff, keep doing what you are doing and you will achieve everything.

"I wasn't ready for this day but it is happening and we need to carry on. So there is nothing more to say. I cannot be grateful enough for everything that you have done for me and my family during all this fantastic time.

"Thank you so much."

When his speech was finished, Zinchenko was deservedly applauded by the people he so evidently adores.

But City is now in the past for Zinchenko and he'll now be fully focused on thriving at Arsenal under Arteta.

Given Kieran Tierney's fitness struggles, the Ukrainian will likely start at left-back for the Gunners in their first Premier League match of the 2022/23 season away at Crystal Palace on August 5th.
