Last night, on AEW Rampage, a huge singles match was confirmed for next week's highly anticipated AEW Dynamite.

This coming Wednesday will see the likes of the Undisputed Elite's return, Thunderstorm vs Team D.M.D, and now ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta will go one-on-one with 'The Wizard' Chris Jericho.

During a segment on Rampage, new ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli welcomed fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Wheeler Yuta to the ring to celebrate their victories at the recent ROH Death Before Dishonor Pay-Per-View last Sunday.

Just as Yuta was about to address the AEW fans, he was interrupted by Chris Jericho, who emerged from the commentary table to confront the Blackpool Combat Club, with which the Jericho Appreciation Society have had a fierce rivalry for the past few months.

Yuta would taunt Jericho saying that he would be able to beat the veteran in a one-on-one match. He and Jericho would go back and forth disagreeing with each other until Jericho granted the match, but to his shock, the ROH Pure Champion declined.

It wasn't until Jericho upped the ante and put his Interim AEW World Championship shot on the line did Yuta accept. Furthermore, this means that if Yuta does defeat Chris Jericho on Dynamite, then he will have a shot at Jon Moxley's AEW World Championship at the Quake By The Lake edition of AEW Dynamite on August 10th.

Jericho will be looking to make a statement and dispose of Yuta on his quest to becoming a two-time AEW World Champion, whereas Yuta will be out to shock the world and defeat Chris Jericho, similar to Daniel Garcia's shock win over Bryan Danielson on Dynamite.
