Thiago produced some brilliant footwork to outwit both Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri in the Community Shield on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool and Manchester City met for the first time in the 2022/23 season at the King Power Stadium, with Jurgen Klopp's side running out 3-1 victors.

The Reds broke the deadlock through Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The 23-year-old was teed up on the edge of the box and his curling effort took a slight deflection off Nathan Ake and found the back of the net.

Shortly before half-time, Thiago had Liverpool fans on their feet with some brilliant footwork to evade pressure from Rodri and De Bruyne.

Rodri thought he had the better of Thiago when he forced his opponent towards the touchline.
