WWE headed to Nashville, Tennessee for SummerSlam, the first WWE Premium Live Event since Vince McMahon stepped down from the company.

With Vince retiring from WWE earlier this month, SummerSlam was the first opportunity for the new Head of Creative Triple H to make his presence felt on the pay-per-view stage.

The show kicked off with a rematch from last year's SummerSlam and WrestleMania earlier this year, with Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair defending her title against Becky Lynch.

Belair may have retained the title, but the newsworthy bits came afterthefact, with Bayley making her shock return after over 12 months out.

She didn't come alone however, bringing out former WWE Superstar Dakota Kai and former NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai to support her.

Logan Paul then beat The Miz in what was his singles debut in WWE, once again impressing fans with an insane dive through the announcer's table, which you can check out by clicking here.

Next up, Bobby Lashley was able to defeat Theory and retain the United States title in relatively quick fashion, with Theory thinking about cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase later on in the night.

We then saw Judgement Day take on Rey and Dominik Mysterio, with WWE Hall of Famer Edge making his return to seek revenge on his former faction, helping The Mysterios pick up the win.

Pat McAfee defaeated his former roomate and fellow former NFL star Happy Corbuin, again impresing fans with what he can do in the ring despite being hugely inexperienced.

Next up, The Usos beat Street Profits to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, while Liv Morgan successfully defended her title over former champion Ronda Rousey.

And in the main event, which featured some truly crazy spots, Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar in what WWE is billing as the last-match ever between the pair.
