Bayley made her return tonight at SummerSlam, making his first appearance on WWE TV since July 2021.

Bayley was taken off WWE TV 12 months ago, being forced to undergo surgery after tearing her ACL.

She made her way back to WWE tonight, confronting Bianca Belair after 'The EST' retained her Raw Women's Championship over Becky Lynch.

At the end of the match, Lynch and Belair embraced, and as Bianca was celebrating with her title, Bayley's music hit and she appeared at the top of the ramp.

She didn't come alone though, bring out former WWE Superstar Dakota Kai, who made her return to the company after being released earlier this year.

That wasn't all though, as Io Shirai also came out to support Bayley, making her main roster debut for the company.

The trio came to the ring together, suggesting that they're going to be positioned as a faction, which is certainly an exciting prospect for WWE fans.

The trio entered the ring to confront Bianca, but before things got physical, Lynch made her way back into the ring, standing alongside Belair against the returning trio.

The angle is significant for a few reasons, particularly because of how new WWE Head of Creative Triple H plays into things.

He was a big fan of Dakota Kai during her time with NXT, and it was likely his promotion that led to the 34-year-old making her way back to the company.

The same can be said for Io Shirai. The former NXT Women's Champion was believed to be on her way out of WWE, but Triple H clearly worked his magic and managed to get her on the main roster.

You can watch WWE SummerSlam, featuring Roman Reigns v Brock Lesnar, live tonight in the US on Peacock and in all other international markets including the UK on the WWE Network.
