Edge is back in WWE, returning at tonight's big SummerSlam event at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennesse.

Edge returned during the match between The Mysterios and his former stable, Judgement Day.

When Rhea Ripley begun to get involved in the match, Edge made his presence felt, coming out to the ring to hit Damian Priest and Finn Balor with brutal Spears.

Edge came down to the ring with an incredible entrance, walking down to the ring to a remixed theme of his old Brood entrance music.

Edge was last seen on WWE TV on the June 7 episode of Monday Night Raw, with Balor joining Judgement Day in the same segment.

Balor joined the group before orchestrating an attack from Priest and Ripley on Edge, removing the WWE Hall of Famer from the group.

The return will inject some great star power into Raw, with a mouth-watering singles match between Edge and Finn Balor surely on the cards for the next few weeks.

Edge was actually supposed to return on Raw this week, with the big show taking place at Madison Square Garden.

Reports state that Edge's return was actually delayed due to Vince McMahon's retirement, which you can read more about by clicking here.

In fact, the same reports claim that Edge was supposed to return along Beth Phoenix, but the latter didn't join her husband at SummerSlam, so it seems like that part of the return was scrapped.

Edge wasn't the only top star to return at SummerSlam, with former Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley also making her way back tonight.

She didn't come alone though, as after being out of the ring for over a year, Bayley came back alongside former WWE star Dakota Kai and former NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai.

You can watch WWE SummerSlam, featuring Roman Reigns v Brock Lesnar, live tonight in the US on Peacock and in all other international markets including the UK on the WWE Network.
