Ousmane Dembele continued his red hot form by linking up with Raphinha for a lovely goal in Barcelona's pre-season friendly with New York Red Bulls on Saturday evening.

The Frenchman scored twice against Juventus in midweek.

And he took his pre-season tally to four goals from four games with his strike at the Red Bull Arena.

Dembele started the match and was arguably the best player on the pitch in the first-half.

He broke the deadlock in the 40th after combining with new Barcelona signing, Raphinha.

Dembele picked up the ball on the left-hand side and cut in towards goal. He picked out Raphinha and continued his run.

The Brazilian then produced a lovely reverse pass into Dembele's path and the Frenchman made no mistake as he lashed a fierce right-footed effort into the net.

Raphinha and Dembele are going to be a serious problem in La Liga this season.

That surely won't be the last time they combine for a goal this season.

Dembele was subbed off at half-time. Barca went on to win 2-0 courtesy of Memphis Depay's second-half goal.

Xavi was full of praise for Dembele following the match.

He said in his post-match press conference, per Barça Universal: "I love Dembélé as a player. I trust him a lot and he knows it. Ever since I arrived, he is making the difference, with 13 assists last year. Now just imagine the footballer we would have if he starts scoring goals…"

Just days ago the Barcelona manager admitted Dembele was a 'special' player.

"He has shown what he is capable of. He is different, special. There are not many of this type," Xavi said, per the Daily Mail. 'He gives us a lot with the way we play.

'"Not everyone has the ability to make a difference in the world of soccer and he does. He is involved and he shows it. I don't know the Dembele from before November, I don't know him. I am very happy with this one."
