Images have emerged of Becky Lynch clutching her shoulder, following her defeat against Bianca Belair at SummerSlam 2022. Lynch and Belair kicked off this yearâs show with another typically enthralling contest, in front of more than 48,000 people at the Nissan Stadium in Tennessee. It was a rematch of last yearâs contest when Lynch made a surprise return and beat Belair in under 30 seconds. Yet, this fight was far more comprehensive than 12 months ago as the two went toe-to-toe for more than 15 minutes. There were a number of false finishes throughout the match, with fans left gripped by the action throughout. In the end, it was Belair who emerged victorious after hitting a Spanish Fly off the top rope, followed by the KOD.
Lynch turns face
After the match, Lynch was left dejected but showed her appreciation for Belair by offering her hand.
While the RAW Womenâs Champion was sceptical at first, she eventually accepted her former enemyâs offer and the two embraced.Â
This seemingly confirms the end of the feud between the pair and that Lynch could be a face moving forwards.Â
Lynch potentially injured
A number of fans noticed that Lynch was looking uneasy at times during the contest and new images have emerged of the Big Time Becks being escorted out of the stadium by medical staff.
Lynch has her right arm down by her side and looks to be in some discomfort.
While there is some chance that Lynch is selling the injury, all this will remain speculation until there is confirmation from WWE.Â
This is not the first time that Lynch has been injured in a match with Belair. Prior to their match at WrestleMania 38, Lynch fractured her larynx but returned in time to fight in Texas.Â
What else happened at SummerSlam?
Elsewhere on the night, Logan Paul continued his impressive start to life in the WWE with a victory over the Miz.
Meanwhile, Liv Morgan defeated Ronda Rousey to retain the SmackDown Womenâs Championship.
After the match, Rousey went ballistic ââ flipping Morgan over and locking her in another armbar. This suggests that Rousey looks to have turned heel.Â
In the main event, Roman Reigns won a Last Man Standing match against Brock Lesnar for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.Â
This may finally bring to an end a feud which has spanned seven years and seen a number of epic matches between the two.
