The MotoGP summer break is coming to an end, and we'll soon be back racing with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on August 7th.

It's been a top campaign so far with plenty of surprises and twists, but it's Fabio Quartararo who has stayed true to form to lead the standings at this stage.

Behind him, Aleix Espargaro, the man who has shocked so many with his performances so far this year, and the man who seems quite possibly the only rider who could stop Quartararo winning a second premier class title.

Ahead of Silverstone, then, Give Me Sport caught up with the team at BT Sport to get their thoughts on some of the talking points of the campaign so far and, here, we're taking a look at what we can expect from this year's race:

Neil Hodgson:

"I think Aleix will be really good, the two favourites are Aleix and Fabio, if you look at the layout, the layout is suited to their style of riding, high corner speed, good on the brakes, but the beauty of Silverstone is it's so wide there are so many lines around here it can create such good racing as we've seen over the years so it'll be good'un. Because of where we're at with MotoGP there are so many surprises, any Ducati rider, Bastianini, Rins [can all win,] so you end up in that situation where it's hard to call!"

Michael Laverty:

"It's always one that favours Suzuki and Alex Rins so I do think it could be a Suzuki weekend, they've had a rough run of things since announcing their departure from the championship for 2023 so I'd like to see them get a bit of success but Pecco's starting his fight for the championship, Ducati have won here in the past but Fabio's very strong too so if we get a day where we get sunshine it'll be an awesome GP."

Natalie Quirk

"Fabio did well last year but he's got the penalty to serve in the race so the Ducatis will go well here I think, Aleix will and you could throw in Alex Rins too.

Gavin Emmett

"Well I think Fabio has got a job on because he has a penalty to serve in the race though around Silverstone you can still overtake.

"I think we should be looking for Pecco because he's got something to prove after the drink driving incident in Ibiza. I'd love to see a head-to-head between him Fabio and Aleix and the little one that's niggling away in my head is Maverick.

"He won his first MotoGP race on the Suzuki here and it was one of those I remember where you couldn't really pick a winner and then he got through and he loves this place, he's got plenty of confidence, he's just got his first podium with Aprilia and a confident Maverick is a dangerous Maverick so I would
keep an eye on him over the weekend."
