Crystal Palace could look to sign Conor Gallagher or Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer if Wilfried Zaha joins Chelsea, believes transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Blues are being linked with a move for Zaha, and Jones thinks the south London outfit would explore the possibility of bringing in a player from the Blues should their talisman head the other way.

What is the latest transfer news involving Palace?

According to Media Foot, Chelsea are interested in signing Zaha this transfer window as Thomas Tuchel looks to improve his attack further.

The German has already added Raheem Sterling to his squad, but it appears that he is still not satisfied with his offensive options.

As well as Chelsea, AS Roma are also thought to be keen on Zaha. The Italian outfit are having a really good window, with Jose Mourinho bringing in the likes of Paulo Dybala and Nemanja Matic so far.

Mourinho obviously knows the English market well having managed in the Premier League for years, and it seems Zaha has left an impression on him.

What has Jones said about Gallagher, Hudson-Odoi and Zaha?

If Chelsea do end up making a serious offer for Zaha, Jones would not be surprised if Palace used their good relationship with their London rivals to try and get Gallagher or Hudson-Odoi included in a potential deal.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: "If you want to speculate, then yeah. They've got a relationship with Chelsea already that flourished last season. They helped one of their players improve and show that he could play in the Premier League.

"If Chelsea were going to pay top money for Zaha and Palace had to let him go, then they would definitely use that relationship to dig into the likes of Gallagher or Hudson-Odoi to try and make something work for them, too."

Would Hudson-Odoi be a good signing for Palace?

It is obvious that £17,000-a-week Gallagher would be a great addition to Palace's squad, with the 22-year-old enjoying a successful loan spell at Selhurst Park last season.

As for £120,000-a-week Hudson-Odoi, he could also be a good signing for Patrick Vieira's side, especially if Zaha does depart.

Like the Ivory Coast international, Hudson-Odoi is a very direct winger. As per FBref, he has ranked in the 94th percentile for progressive carries and the 92nd for shot-creating actions among attacking midfielders and wingers over the last year.

His goal output obviously needs to improve, with the English youngster scoring just once in the Premier League last season. In Hudson-Odoi's defence, though, he has had injury problems and has never been a regular starter at Chelsea.

All in all, if Zaha desperately wants to go to Chelsea and Palace can get a big fee plus one of Gallagher or Hudson-Odoi, it could be good business by the Eagles.
