Ric Flair stepped foot in the ring for the final time as a professional wrestler over the weekend, taking on Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal in a tag-team match, with the Nature Boy teaming up with his son-in-law Andrade El Odolo.

It was a famous victory for Flair in his final outing with it being a real family occasion. His other son-in-law Conrad Thompson intervened in the fight by throwing Andrade brass knuckles to down Jarrett.

The Nature Boy took full advantage, putting Jarrett in the famous figure four leglock with the referee counting to three, meaning he was victorious in his final outing.

He delivered a rousing promo to commemorate his big day, saying: “This happened better than the last time, to have you here, the greatest wrestling town, one of the greatest, I hate to say greatest, because everyone gets upset.

“I had one of the greatest matches of my career here with Ricky Steamboat, all my family is here, we’ve made jokes about me being married five times, but all the kids are here and one wife, but all my granddaughters are stood over here and my friends are here and I swear to god guys, if I didn’t have enough pressure on me tonight, f*****g Kid Rock walked in the room.”

It was a momentous night for Flair who had his family in attendance on the front row to celebrate his last dance in the ring.

His family weren’t the only special spectators. Fellow WWE legend The Undertaker, Mick Foley and Bret Hart were on the front row as well, with the trio sharing a beautiful moment after the match.

After exiting the ring after taking part in a fight for the final time, he walked over to the crowd and straight to ‘Taker, Foley and Hart, with the iconic quad sharing an embrace to commemorate the 73 year old’s amazing career coming to a close.

He’s a 16-time world champion according to the WWE, sharing the ring throughout the years with his three friends watching on to show their support for a friend and colleague.

All four wrestlers have a lot to thank each other for after taking part in famous matches together, sharing their journey to the top of the WWE Universe.

To see the respect there for the Nature Boy shows us just how liked he was by his co-workers and why he’s one of the best to ever do it.
