A seasoned NBA player, who has experience with the Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies, Toronto Raptors, and more, has signed a training camp contract with the Boston Celtics.

The Boston Celtics and free agent forward have reached an agreement on a training camp deal, adding some spice to the race for the final few roster slots in training camp.

The Celtics have Mfiondu Kabengele on a two-way deal in addition to Robert Williams, Al Horford, Grant Williams, Danilo Gallinari, and Luke Kornet on their roster. Although it's not a given that the veteran will be on the roster, there are openings for him on the Celtics.

The free agent now has the chance to secure a spot on the Celtics' Opening Night roster following a strong showing for the Utah Jazz during Las Vegas Summer League play last month.

Below is everything we know about the NBA veteran signing with the Boston Celtics.

Bruno Caboclo will join the Boston Celtics for training camp, according to Shams Charania. Charania: "Free agent Bruno Caboclo has agreed to a training camp deal with the Boston Celtics and will compete for a roster spot."

Caboclo was selected by the Toronto Raptors with the 20th overall pick in the NBA Draft in 2014. He has previously played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, and Sacramento Kings.

He had his greatest career season in 2019 when he averaged 8.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game for the Grizzlies. Despite only appearing in 34 games, he started 19 of them. Caboclo has accumulated 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds on average in 105 regular season games over the course of his career.

The Celtics have recently returned from reaching the NBA Finals. They defeated Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets in the opening round of the NBA Playoffs, where they were the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

In the following two rounds, they defeated the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat in back-to-back Game 7s. In Game 1 of the Finals, they defeated the Golden State Warriors on the road in San Francisco.

They only managed a 1-4 record the rest of the way, and the Warriors prevailed in six games to claim the championship. The Warriors, led by Steph Curry, won the NBA Championship for the fourth time in the past eight seasons.
