FIFA 23 is one of the most anticipated games of the year but will it be on Xbox Game Pass?

The upcoming football simulation is set to release on September 30, 2022 and is likely to be one of the highest-selling games of the year.

FIFA is always an absolute behemoth when it comes to sales and regularly tops sales charts even months after the game is released.

That is likely to continue this year, especially as FIFA 23 is going to be the final game that EA Sports release under the FIFA banner.

The hype around the game is slowly continuing to build, with EA Sports now releasing trailers and images from the latest version.

Will FIFA 23 be on Xbox Game Pass?

The answer here is no, at least not initially.

EA Play is available for players who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and that subscription will allow players to download a ten-hour trial of the game from September 27, 2022.

FIFA 22 ended up being added to Game Pass on June 24, 2022, nine months after the game was first released.

There is the possibility of EA Sports following the same pattern with FIFA 23 and adding it to the service once it reaches the end of its lifespan.

FIFA 23 Jack Grealish

Indeed, FIFA 22 was only added to Game Pass after the seasons in Europe’s top five leagues were completed.

It makes sense, too, giving players the chance to sample the gameplay and dive into Ultimate Team before FIFA 23 hits shelves across the globe.

It’s a clever marketing tool and given the sales figures of FIFA historically, it would be a remarkable decision for 23 to be added to Game Pass straight away.

It won’t be a Day One release, like a number of Xbox IPs, but it could eventually hit the subscription service. You might just have to wait a while!
