Becky Lynch may have lost inside the ring during Saturday’s SummerSlam event, but she secured a crushing victory over Roman Reigns on Twitter last night.

Lynch made headlines this week after battling through injury during her SummerSlam loss to long-term rival Bianca Belair.

During the Raw Women’s Championship match, The Man separated her shoulder early on but carried on with her performance, making it an even more impressive showing than it already was. Lynch was seen supporting her arm after the match.

As a result, The Man is likely to miss out on upcoming events, with some reports suggesting she could be inactive for up to 10 weeks. It’s also unclear whether she’ll have to undergo surgery to fix her injury.

But while Lynch is facing some time away from the ring, she couldn’t help but fire a shot at Roman Reigns, whose inactivity has certainly not been due to injuries.

Following a tweet that asked fans whether Reigns or Lynch was the better dual champion in WWE, The Man responded in brutal fashion, mocking Reigns’ sporadic appearances in recent months.

“Me, I showed up to work,” tweeted Lynch.

Reigns has become a WWE icon in recent years, with the Tribal Chief boasting the title of the Undisputed Universal WWE Champion.

As one of the most important characters in the sport at the moment, demand is high, but Reigns’ appearances have been patchy of late.

He recently agreed to a new deal with the company, which saw his appearances lessen, meaning he wouldn't be present at the majority of house shows and he'd even be allowed to miss some episodes of SmackDown as well as some pay-per-views.

This has become more apparent recently, with Reigns not appearing every week and only featuring here and there.

With Reigns also missing out on the recent Money in the Bank event in July, the Tribal Chief will be facing plenty of pressure from both the WWE and fans to defend his title.

Of course, he did just that this past weekend at SummerSlam against Brock Lesnar and he'll do it again in Wales at Clash at the Castle when he shares the ring with Scotsman Drew McIntyre.

We're not sure Reigns will appreciate Lynch's brutal six-word tweet all that much, but it's caused quite the stir within the WWE Universe, as the Irishwoman tends to do a lot of the time when it comes to social media activity.
