Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara could still leave Ibrox before September's deadline, according to journalist Pete O'Rourke.

The 26-year-old only signed a contract extension last year, but he's been linked away from the reigning Scottish Cup winners this window.

Having made a huge impression in Glasgow since his £50,000 move from Dundee back in 2019, Kamara is attracting interest from across Europe.

According to 90min, Kamara emerged as a target for Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this summer as a potential Yves Bissouma replacement, with Bundesliga outfits Eintracht Frankfurt, who saw him first hand in the Europa League final, and RB Leipzig, also interested in his services.

The same outlet have since claimed that Turkish giants Galatasaray have launched an £8m bid for the Finland international, although their offer is expected to fall short of Rangers' valuation of the player.

But Kamara spoke earlier in the window and admitted that he would consider leaving Rangers if the right move came about and stated that he wants to play in the Premier League.

He said: "I would never say that I wouldn't go and play elsewhere in Europe. I would like to play in the Premier League, but if there was somewhere else that would be good for me, I would go there."

What did O'Rourke say about Kamara?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "I think it would take a big transfer fee for Rangers to agree to sell Glen Kamara right now. He is still a key man for Giovanni van Bronckhorst and I'm sure he'd ideally like to keep hold of the midfielder."

How did Kamara perform last season?

Despite uncertainty over his long term future at Ibrox, Kamara enjoyed another productive campaign with the Scottish giants.

In all competitions, he made an incredible 52 appearances, 14 of which came in the Europa League as he played in every game bar one of Rangers' run to the final. Kamara played 91 minutes in the showpiece in Sevilla, although his team were unfortunately beaten on penalties by Frankfurt.

But less than seven days later, Kamara did get a medal around his neck after Rangers bounced back to beat Hearts in the Scottish Cup final, rounding off another productive season for the Finn.
