AEW: Fight Forever is set to release later this year and we can tell you some of the game modes that gamers will be able to play.

The official video game of All Elite Wrestling is set to provide some real competition to the WWE 2K series.

There hasn’t been a rival to the 2K series since the release of TNA Impact back in 2008.

Now, though, AEW is set to release their own competitor to the most mainstream professional wrestling video game.

What AEW Fight Forever match types have been revealed?

A new THQ Nordic listing for the game has revealed the platforms that the game is coming to, as well as the match types that will be included.

The game is listed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. There is no Xbox One version of the game listed on the website.

A final release date has not been announced but the date listed on Amazon is December 31st, 2022, which may well be a placeholder.

The following matches will be included: Singles, Tag Team, 3-Way match, 4-Way Match, Ladder Match, Casino Battle Royale, Falls Count Anywhere, Unsanctioned Lights Out Match, Barbed Wire Death and online co-op multiplayer matches.

Tag team matches are also set to feature several team manoeuvres that can be performed at the touch of a button, which makes sense given the fact that AEW has an stacked tag team roster, including the likes of the Young Bucks, FTR, the Lucha Bros, Swerve In Our Glory and Private Party, among others.

The game listing has also confirmed that the gameplay will have a “nostalgic arcade wrestling feel” that retro wrestling games used to have when they dominated the gaming market.
