Footage of England’s dressing room celebrations after winning Euro 2022 has emerged and it’s as good as you’d expect. The Lionesses beat Germany 2-1 at Wembley on Sunday to secure their first ever major silverware and it’s safe to say they partied in style after the match. A clip of the team singing and dancing in the changing room has been shared on the Lionesses’ Twitter and it’s incredibly heartwarming. Wiegman is standing with the trophy in the middle of the room, while the rest of the players crowd around her. The team breaks into a rendition of the famous atomic kitten song 'Whole Again' – only this time, the lyrics are hailing the Dutch manager instead. â€œSarina you’re the one, you still turn me on, football’s coming home again,” the team chants.

Understandably, fans are loving the video. 

“Best video on the internet,” one said.  

“Absolutely love it,” stressed another. 

Meanwhile, some were quick to point out that Millie Bright was holding two cans of beer at the same time. 

“Millie Bright with a can in each hand,” joked one fan. 

A second stated: “Millie Bright is not messing about. She’s got a can in each hand.” 

Many others were keen to praise Wiegman and hailed her as an incredible leader. 

“Goosebumps! Every great team has a great Manager. There is no luck, it comes down to talent and incredible hard work,” said one user. 

Another put: “Icon! A lot to be learned from this incredible coach!”

What happened at Wembley? 

In front of a record European Championship crowd of more than 87,000 people, England ended a 56-year wait for a major trophy, dating back to 1966. 

In a cagey first-half affair, neither side could find the breakthrough, though England arguably had the better of the chances. 

It was Germany who started the second half brighter, but as was so often the case at the tournament, Wiegman’s substitutions worked a treat.

Ella Toone came on to replace Fran Kirby and scored a sumptuous chip, having being fed an inch-perfect ball from Keira Walsh. 

However, just as the trophy seemed within England’s grasp, Germany levelled 10 minutes from time through Lina Magull –– forcing the game into extra time. 

In extra-time, both teams had chances, yet it was the Lionesses who found the decisive breakthrough as Chloe Kelly prodded home from close range, following a Lauren Hemp corner. 

The last eight minutes felt like a lifetime, but eventually the whistle sounded and Wembley erupted. 

History had been made and football had finally come home.
