Which Premier League managers are the biggest moaners?
A few probably come to mind straight away. Jurgen Klopp recently lived up to his name by complaining about one of his all time favourite topics - the fixture list - and specifically in this case, the Community Shield.
Likewise, Thomas Tuchel and Mikel Arteta are known for a good old post-match rant about the officials or just about anything else.
But are these reputations justified - and if they are, who's the biggest moaner of the lot?
To answer these questions, the Athletic listened to the comments made by every Premier League manager after a loss or draw in the 2021/2022 domestic season.
With the data they collected, they've ranked managers by how frequently they complain or make excuses in such situations - as well as identifying what each manager loves to blame the most.

It's interesting to see that it's usually the clubs who lose more frequently that tend to blame less often.
Both of Leeds' managers from last season complained less than anyone else despite losing 18 matches.
Whereas Conte and Santo represent the only two managers from clubs in the top-half of the table at this stage.

Think Klopp is the biggest moaner in the league?
Well, despite once blaming Tottenham for "playing too defensively" when drawing to Conte's side 1-1 at Anfield, his reputation might be slightly unjustified in terms of the frequency of his gripes - maybe it's just how ridiculous his claims are when they do come.
Guardiola does beat his German rival, though, moaning just 27.3% of the time in his post-match interviews.
Graham Potter also makes this section of the ranking. Last season he famously blamed his club's support for their 0-0 draw against Norwich, stating "our fans telling us to shoot was distracting".

Now we're getting to the real moaners and it's not too much of a surprise to see Tuchel and Arteta out in front.
In the 19 games that Chelsea lost or drew domestically last season, the German pointed to external factors on 11 of those occasions - with his favourite thing to blame being COVID-19 throughout December.
When it comes to Arteta, his favourite target was referees and he raised the issue against Man City, Crystal Palace and Tottenham.
He also pulled out what is probably our favourite excuse of all, when he blamed football's scoring system and instead cited that, had they been playing the Basketball, his team would have "won the game comfortably".
