The AEW Women's division could be getting a boost as a former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion is confirmed to make her in-ring debut this Friday on Rampage.

Last night on Dynamite, AEW announced that on AEW Rampage, former IMPACT Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne will make her AEW in-ring debut.

The initial announcement was that Madison Rayne was joining AEW as a behind-the-scenes member and coaching the women's division to give expertise on how the women in AEW can develop their craft.

Tony Khan spoke more about this in a recent interview with Busted Open Radio. Stating: "Everyone is excited to have Madison Rayne as a part of AEW." " I'm not saying she won't wrestle. I'm open to it".

However, it appears Tony Khan is keen to see the former Knockouts Champion in in-ring action on AEW as she is scheduled to be in action this Friday on AEW Rampage in an advertisement package for the show.

It is unknown whether this will be a regular occurrence, but it shakes things up and sets up an array of dream matches with non-champions and champions of the AEW women's division.

The match for Madison Rayne hasn't officially confirmed on the graphic who it will be, but there is a strong contender on who it will be after the altercation the new signee had on the recent episode of AEW Dark.

The taped show Rayne on commentary for the bout between former AEW Women's Champion Hikaru Shida and The Baddies, Leila Grey.

After the match, Rayne was confronted by TBS Champion, the undefeated Jade Cargill, who stepped up to veteran, setting up a match on Rampage with Grey that could lead to a potential feud with the TBS Champion in the future as Cargill is currently feuding with Athena and Kris Statlander.
