Last night on Dynamite, AEW confirmed that the TNT Championship will be on the line at Saturday's Battle Of The Belts event.

Battle Of The Belts is an annual event for AEW, and this year sees the event takes place once again on a Special Saturday Night Fight Night on TNT.

TNT Champion Wardlow will defend his championship against Jay Lethal after it was confirmed in a segment on AEW Dynamite, post Lethal defeating Orange Cassidy.

Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh and Sonjay Dutt have recently had back and forths with The Best Friends since Lethal was unable to capture the ROH TV Championship from Samoa Joe at ROH Death Before Dishonor.

However, Lethal has played it smart, attacking people who are allies with champions in the company. As a result, he has received a lifeline that has bounced him right back into the title picture, but he has to step inside of 'Wardlow's World' to win the TNT Championship.

Wardlow has been dominant ever since arriving in AEW and has a 16-2 record in 2022, with his biggest win coming against Scorpio Sky to win the TNT Championship in a street fight.

Since then, Wardlow hasn't been in action too much, but his victory sent a huge warning to everyone on the AEW roster, including AEW World Champion CM Punk.

Therefore, Mr Mayhem will be looking at wrestling veteran Jay Lethal as the first victim in Wardlow's World and the first step to greater things.

You can watch AEW Battle Of The Belts internationally on FITE TV.
