It was confirmed on last night's AEW Dynamite that one of the company's top factions had split.

During the AEW Dynamite show, commentator Taz took a moment to address the AEW fans from the commentary booth, confirming that Team Taz was no more.

The wrestling legend confirmed that he wishes Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs and HOOK all the best in their future endeavours.

Taz formed the group on the 21st of July 2020. For the majority of its duration featured Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs and HOOK, even briefly having Brian Cage in the group.

Team Taz had some great highlights, one of the main being Ricky Starks elevating the prestige of the FTW Championship where he held the title for an estimated 378 days.

Starks would lose the title last week to Taz's son Hook in an open challenge where Starks would tap out to the Redrum submission hold.

What followed after this shocked the world as Powerhouse Hobbs would put the nail in the coffin, signalling the end of Team Taz by attacking his former tag partner Starks from behind with a huge lariat and dropping him in the centre of the ring with a spinebuster.

However, the legacy of the FTW Championship lives on in Taz's heritage with HOOK, who looks to set a new record and surpass the 378-day reign of Starks, honouring his dad and the legacy of the title.

HOOK remains undefeated in AEW with a 2022 record of 9-0 and an all-time overall record of 11-0. It is unknown what is next for HOOK, but he will look to continue his dominance and keep his record intact.
