Formula One has whacked on their ‘Out of Office’ automated email for the annual summer break, giving teams three weeks to unwind before attacking the run-in all guns blazing, one man that needs it more than most is Charles Leclerc.

The Monegasque driver has suffered a cursed first half of the season, seeing Lewis Hamilton overtake him for amount of podiums in 2022 despite the plagued W13 he’s run experimental set-ups on.

He has had a range of DNFs and poor results from a range of factors, including reliability issues, woeful strategy from his team on the Ferrari pit wall or his own driver error. It has left him trailing Max Verstappen in the Drivers’ Championship by 80 points.

Leclerc has been in high spirits in his homeland of Monaco so far in the break, sharing a vlog on his YouTube channel showing us what he’s been getting up to at the start of his break, showing us 24 hours with him.

First thing, he is training from 7am in the morning, playing paddle tennis with his brothers and trainers to keep in shape and so his competitive juices can still flow. He clearly enjoys his family time after spending large amounts of his life travelling. He won with his brother and fellow racer, Arthur Leclerc.

His training continued all morning with a nice walk in the picturesque Monaco hills and then in the gym before kicking his afternoon off with a session in the cryotherapy chamber.

Then, he treats all F1 fans tuning in by visiting the collection of H.S.H. The Prince of Monaco’s car collection, including two that Leclerc himself owns!

His first Formula One car is in there when he joined Alfa Romeo along with his Ferrari car in 2019 where he famously won at Spa to commemorate his friend who sadly passed away during the F2 race on the same weekend at the Belgian track, Anthoine Hubert.

Next he revealed a lovely story of his Monza win in 2019 where his mum let him know she wanted to come after he had allocated his passes, so he found her grandstand tickets and she celebrated his podium on the track with fans, with no one knowing she was his mum.

After a busy day, he then relaxes in his apartment and practices playing the piano. He started playing during lockdown given all his free time after he loved listening to his brother play when they were younger.

He then goes on a walk around Monaco, stopping for pictures with fans and talking to us about the places they are, showing the starting blocks still painted on the floor despite the race weekend being long gone.

To top off the day, he goes for a boat ride in the sea and dives in for some swimming before meeting his girlfriend and taking her out on the boat too.

All in all, a busy day for the Ferrari man, but what a life he lives!
