Football Manager 2023 is coming soon, so we’re running through some of the best challenges you can take on in the game.
While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, the franchise has continually followed an annual release schedule and we anticipate a November release for the latest game in the series.
The beta will come two weeks before, as is tradition, and we’ve been looking through the leagues to find the very best saves you can take on.
We’ve covered the Premier League and the Championship and now we’re going to take a look at the best lower-league saves – League One, League Two and non-league – that you can try.

Bolton Wanderers

Languishing in League One, Bolton are the epitome of a Fallen Giant.
They’ve tumbled down the leagues, going from a top Premier League side with the likes of Jay-Jay Okocha and Ivan Campo, to playing in the third tier.
They finished ninth last season, having won promotion the season before, and are now looking to get back up the ladder.
Can you guide them into the Premier League?
Gillingham
Last season was a disaster.
The Gills fell out of League One and into League Two and have undergone huge surgery on their squad, with as many as 15 players coming in and 13 leaving.
Can you get them back into League One and then climb all the way up to the Premier League? It’s a huge challenge.
Scunthorpe United

They finished rock-bottom of League Two last season, winning just four games all season and taking a mere 26 points from 46 games.
They’re now in non-league football and have signed 11 new players this summer.
Can you get them back into the Football League?
Dover Athletic
We like setting you hard challenges!
Dover were given a 12-point deduction last season and finished rock-bottom of the National League, ending the season with a solitary point.
Oh, and they conceded 101 goals. Whip them into shape!
Wrexham

We have to mention them in every non-league save article we do and it’s true again.
They’re backed by Hollywood glitz, and they have a much bigger budget than any of their competitors in the division.
Get them into the Football League and continue their meteoric rise. This one is a lot easier than Dover!
