The company confirmed back in August that the main event will see the Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya defends his 185-pound title against Alex Pereira - two men who have a past when it comes to head-to-head competition.

This contest is so massively hyped by MMA fans and critics as Pereira has two wins over Adesanya in the pro kickboxing world, with Alex having secured an incredible knockout over ‘The Last Stylebender’ in his final GLORY kickboxing bout.

Enough talk! Here is everything you need to know about UFC 281:

UFC 281 will take place tonight, Saturday 12th November, and will likely play out into the early hours of Sunday morning. Yet again, it will be a late one for UK fight fans. The main event is likely to start around 4am GMT.

What has been said about Adesanya vs Pereira?

Some of the biggest names in the world of MMA have been having their say about this hugely anticipated fight.

The hugely popular UFC prospect Sean O'Malley has made some comments about how he thinks the fight will pan out tonight.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “I like Alex. I met him once, didn’t really talk. I don’t think he speaks much English. He’s giant, he’s f**king terrifying, he’s a scary human being – but I’d love to see Izzy win.

“With those little gloves and those guys are both that high-level strikers, that’s a f**king coin flip, but I do agree with you. I think Izzy has more tricks, especially in an Octagon.”
