Karrion Kross WWE return: Adam Cole tore him apart in brutal 2021 promo

Karrion Kross was ruined by Adam Cole with a 2021 promo

Karrion Kross is back in WWE, returning during last night’s post-SummerSlam episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Kross returned by attacking Drew McIntrye, before also making it clear that he’s got his eyes set on Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The 37-year-old was immediately inserted into WWE’s main event scene, suggesting that his second run with the company is going to be better than his first.

Kross had the rocket strapped to him after joining NXT in 2020, and within a matter of months, was already NXT Champion.

However, Kross wasn’t a super worker like a lot of the other wrestlers in NXT at the time, so some fans turned on him as a result.

WWE decided to play into the criticism of Kross as part of a storyline, which came to a head on the June 1 episode of NXT last year.

During the show, Kross came face-to-face with Adam Cole, with the former Undisputed Era man completely tearing him apart on the mic.

And now, following Kross’ return to WWE last night, footage of that promo, which you can see below, has begun to circulate online again.

Cole spoke about how NXT had done everything to make Kross feel special, but stressed that he was so good in the ring he doesn’t need the special effects.

This brand has done everything in their power to make you feel special. You got the cool music, you got the lights., you got the fog machine, you got the girl. You know what they do to make Adam Cole feel special? They ring the freaking bell.

He then went on to get even more brutal, emphasizing that Kross wasn’t on his level, and said that everybody who watches wrestling knows that.

On your best day, you couldn’t lace my boots. You can’t hang with me. You aren’t on my level, and anybody who watches pro wrestling knows that.

The promo was absolutely brutal, and leaving Kross utterly speechless as his counterpart continued to berate him on the mic.

Things are looking positive for Kross in WWE right now, as rumours suggest he could be about to become WWE Champion, which you can read more about by clicking here.

You can watch Karrion Kross live every single week on SmackDown in the US on FOX and over here in the UK on BT Sport.
