Gareth Bale scored a superb solo goal in Los Angeles FC's comfortable victory over Real Salt Lake on Saturday evening.

The Welshman joined the Major League Soccer side from Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.

Bale is yet to make a start for his new side as he regains his fitness.

He was on the bench once again for his new side in their match against their Western conference rivals.

With his side 3-1 up with 26 minutes remaining, Bale made his way onto the pitch as he replaced Carlos Vela.

And, in the 87th minute, Bale made his mark with a superb solo goal.

The 33-year-old picked up the ball roughly 40 yards away from Real Salt Lake's goal on the right-hand side.

He proceeded to race past two players, made his way into the box, cut inside and then fired his effort past the goalkeeper.

It was piece of individual brilliance and you can view it below...

That is sensational from Bale. That was his second goal in an LAFC shirt, following his strike against Sporting Kansas City in July.

Bale found game-time hard to come by during the latter stages of his Real Madrid career.

But he is showing that he's still got a lot left in the tank during his eyes days in MLS.

LAFC are cruising in the MLS and are currently first in the Western Conference. They have a six-point advantage over second place Austin FC.

Prior to the match against Real Salt Lake, Bale admitted he is enjoying life at his new club

He said, per the Sun: "Any player will tell you if they have a smile on their face, they enjoy football more, you play better, a bit more enthusiastically, and life seems a bit better.

"I want to get back to enjoy my football, and I feel like I am on the road to do that and I'm looking forward to what lies ahead."

Bale is slowly regaining his fitness and could make his first start for his new club in their match against Charlotte next week.
