Cristiano Ronaldo's sister, Katia Aveiro, has commented on a post mocking Lionel Messi's stunning goal for Paris-Saint Germain on Saturday evening.

The Argentine wizard scored an incredible acrobatic effort in PSG's 5-0 victory over Clermont Foot.

Messi controlled a ball over the top from Leandro Parades in the 86th minute.

With his back to goal, Messi then produced an audacious overhead kick that looped over Mory Diaw and into the net.

It was a brilliant goal from Messi and even Clermont fans inside the stadium showed their appreciation as chants of 'Messi! Messi' rung around Gabriel Montpied Stadium.

But Ronaldo's sister, Aveiro, was clearly not that impressed.

A Ronaldo fan page on Instagram, cr7.o_legendary, mocked Messi's effort and compared it to Ronaldo's legendary bicycle kick against Juventus in 2018.

Posting images of the two goals, the fan account wrote: "One is a handgun and the other is a bicycle. One is in the French Championship against Clermont and the other is in the knockout stage of the Champions League against Juventus.

"In one, the player puts his hands on the pitch, the other foot also and it would barely be possible to put a mattress between his body and the field, while the other has his body completely off the pitch and the space between his body and the field. It's so much that the player in the top image would fit and if he hesitated, there would still be a little left hahaha. Never compare…"

Aveiro clearly agreed with all that was said as she 'liked' the post before commenting a number of clapping emojis.

Fair to say she doesn't think Messi's was anywhere near as good as her brother's effort four years ago...

Ronaldo could make his first appearance of the season when Manchester United take on Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

If he does take to the field, the 37-year-old will no doubt be determined to outdo his fierce rival's brilliance on Saturday evening.
