England Netball icons Eboni Usoro-Brown and Stacey Francis-Bayman enjoyed one last hurrah at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on Sunday.The two recently announced their retirement from the game, closing the book on two stellar careers.In front of a roaring crowd of home fans at Birmingham NEC, the Roses stars were substituted onto the court for England's bronze medal match against New Zealand.Unfortunately, the reigning Commonwealth champions were unable to secure a medal this year, but supporters remained in high spirits as they bid farewell to the much-loved Usoro-Brown and Francis-Bayman.The two England stars paid an emotional tribute to the fans, their loved ones, and the sport they have captivated over the years at the end of the match.Their teammates presented them with flowers and both England and New Zealand gave them a guard of honour before they left the court.

Usoro-Brown, who played goal defence and goalkeeper, enjoyed a glittering career at both international and domestic level. She represented Team Bath during two career stints and won four Vitality Netball Super League titles with the Somerset outfit in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010.

She captained the Blue and Gold for six seasons after enjoying spells in Australia with West Coast Fever and Adelaide Thunderbirds.

Usoro-Brown notched a total of 116 senior caps for England after making her international debut in 2008. She also helped the Roses win their first ever Commonwealth Games title back in 2018 after a thrilling battle against Australia on the Gold Coast.

The 34-year-old was inducted into the England Netball Hall of Fame in 2020 and since the birth of her daughter, she is working to encourage other mothers in sport.

Fellow defender Francis-Bayman announced her retirement after winning the Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final with West Coast Fever last month.

She earned 77 caps for the Roses during her career and represented her country at both the Commonwealth Games and World Cup, winning three bronzes across the tournaments.

Francis-Bayman also represented Team Bath at domestic level and was inducted into the University of Bath/Team Bath Hall of Fame for Sport in 2017.
