Erling Haaland announced himself to the Premier League in spectacular fashion on Sunday afternoon.

Reigning champions and Haaland's new club, Man City, travelled to the London Stadium for what was expected to be a tricky clash with David Moyes' West Ham.

But the end result proved to be anything but as City waltzed to an easy 2-0 victory thanks to two goals from their Norwegian sensation.

Haaland delivers the goods

It took Haaland all of 35 minutes to break the deadlock, bursting into the area with his trademark pace he forced West Ham keeper Alphonse Areola to bring him down before duly converting the penalty in lethal fashion.

Fast forward another half an hour of game time and he was at it again, expertly timing his run between centre-backs to latch onto a typically brilliant Kevin De Bruyne through ball before opening his body up and converting like a prime Thierry Henry.

Two decisive moments that justify why Pep Guardiola made him his top priority this summer.

If everyone didn't know already, this young man is the real deal and he's on a one man mission to storm the Golden Boot race in 2022/2023.

But, it's not just his goals that make him the player he is. Sure, they're an enormous part.

However his overall gameplay against the Hammers was something to be marvelled at and demonstrate how seamlessly he is slipping into the City set-up already.

What a frighteningly good striker Haaland is.

He's literally a prime physical specimen with a nose for goals like few we've ever seen before him.

In our humble opinion, if he stays fit, he's not just going to win the Golden Boot but annihilate it.

Dare we even say smash the existing Premier League record of 31 goals in a season?

City are in action again next Saturday where they'll take on Bournemouth in the 3pm kick-offs.

All we'll say, is despite Scott Parker's men getting off to the perfect start by disposing of Aston Villa 2-0, we think they could be in for a very, very tough day at the office indeed with Haaland on the prowl.
