Here are the second round of fixtures that are taking place in Game Week 2 in the Premier League, which were gathered from the official Premier League website.

Saturday 13th August 2022

  • Aston Villa vs Everton
  • Arsenal vs Leicester
  • Brighton vs Newcastle
  • Man City vs Bournemouth
  • Southampton vs Leeds
  • Wolves vs Fulham
  • Brentford vs Manchester United
  • Nottingham Forest vs West Ham
  • Chelsea vs Tottenham
  • Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Looking at these fixtures, there are certainly a couple of clubs that you should be having a close look at players-wise.

The biggest fixture of the weekend is certainly the late Sunday clash between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur - in which you may want to rethink some of your players. Tottenham looked absolutely clinical on day one against Southampton, so it could be a wise move to avoid Chelsea defenders.

Manchester United's opening day loss has set the scene for a hideous start from the Red Devils. They lacked attacking creatively drastically and also didn't look competent at the back. We'd avoid players from both sides in this fixture.

If you're looking to bring anyone in this week - head Manchester City's way. They comfortably beat the Hammers on Sunday with Premier League new boy Erling Haaland announcing himself to English football with a fantastic brace.

Bear in mind now - transfers are no longer free. You can get one free per game week but the rest you make will deduct points from your total.

Erling Haaland

  • Position: Forward
  • Club: Manchester City
  • Price: 11.6 Million
  • GW2 Opponent: Bournemouth (H)

Hi simply has to be in your side going forward. The Norwegian is going to take the league by absolute storm this season and is destined to score a plentiful of goals.

The Cityzens take on Bournemouth next week and Haaland will be itching to go again and probably bag a couple more. He's a worthy investment.

Aleksandar Mitrovic

  • Position: Forward
  • Club: Fulham
  • Price: £6.6 Million
  • GW2 Opponent: Wolves (A)

What a GW1 this man had. Two goals against one of the title favourites and he absolutely tore apart Virgil van Dijk. Now Mitrovic comes up against what looks like a lacklustre Wolves side who have just lost Connor Coady. We think he's a great shout at £6.6 million.

James Ward-Prowse

Position: Midfielder
Club: Southampton
Price: £6.5 Million
GW2 Opponent: Leeds (H)

A scorer on an opening day with a sensational goal - James Ward-Prowse is always a phenomenal shout for fantasy football.

He takes penalties, and free-kicks plus he also scores from open play. They play Leeds United who he also loves a goal against - scoring that remarkable free-kick in last year's game.

Nathan Ake

Position: Defender
Club: Manchester City
Price: £5 Million
GW2 Opponent: Bournemouth (H)

With John Stones and Aymeric Laporte currently injured, Ake is playing consistent football for Manchester City who are renowned for keeping a plethora of clean sheets. He's such a cheap defensive option who guarantees points.
