Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic is frustrated with life at Stamford Bridge at the moment, claims transfer insider Dean Jones.

The American has found himself in and out of the Blues' starting XI under Thomas Tuchel, and Jones has suggested that he could follow Timo Werner out of the exit door this summer if an offer for him arrives.

In terms of outgoings, Werner is the latest Chelsea player to have left SW6.

As per the reliable Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig have agreed a €20m (£16.9m) deal plus add-ons with Chelsea to re-sign their former striker, and the news was confirmed earlier on Tuesday.

Like £150,000-a-week Pulisic, the German did not start in Chelsea's opening game of the season against Everton, missing out on the matchday squad altogether.

Pulisic, however, did come on, but he will undoubtedly want more minutes on the pitch going forward, especially during a World Cup year.

Last term, he made just 13 Premier League starts, though he did miss a chunk of the season due to injury.

What has Jones said about Pulisic's Chelsea future?

Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that Chelsea want Pulisic to stay but things could become complicated if someone makes a bid for the 23-year-old.

Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: "Chelsea are trying to manage Christian Pulisic’s frustrations at the moment. He’s not getting the opportunities he craves, and in a World Cup year, he is desperate for regular game time. Chelsea want him to stay, I’m told, but this could take a twist if someone lodges an offer."

Should Chelsea sell Pulisic this summer?

Chelsea should probably not be too hasty to get rid of Pulisic. Werner is out the door, while Callum Hudson-Odoi is also eyeing up a loan move.

Hakim Ziyech has been linked with a switch away from Stamford Bridge, too, with there being some talk about Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag being interested in the Moroccan, who he used to manage.

All of a sudden, the Blues could find themselves light in attack, while the possibility of new signing Raheem Sterling needing to adapt also needs to be taken into consideration.

Therefore, even if Chelsea go on to bring in a new wide man, given the amount of potential departures and Sterling perhaps needing time to settle, the wisest thing to do would be to keep hold of Pulisic.

However, that choice may be taken out of Tuchel's hands if the USA international decides to push for a move this summer.
