Saka, Elliot, Elanga, Carvalho: The 20 most valuable U21 Premier League players

The Premier League returned to our lives last weekend and it couldn't have come a moment too soon.

The top-flight drama we have all been craving was truly palpable as teams paraded their shiny new signings up and down the country.

Liverpool got off to a stuttering start against Fulham, Arsenal and Chelsea secured wins, while Tottenham and Manchester City kicked off their seasons with imperious victories.

Manchester United, on the other hand, had a weekend to forget as the debut of 'Ten Hag ball' fell woefully flat at Old Trafford.

However, there is still time for the Dutchman to work and, if he is given the backing he needs, he is more than capable of restoring former glories at the Theatre of Dreams.

In fact, he has it his disposal some of the more exciting talents in the Premier League according to the data over on TransferMarkt.

Of the 20 most valuable under 21 players in the Premier League right now, three are on the books at United.

Mejbri certainly made a bit of a name for himself last season with his cameo performance against Liverpool while the likes of Marquinhos and Palmer are only set to see their value sore in the coming years.

Everton completed the signing of Onana following their opening day defeat to Chelsea and will be hoping he can add real value to their line-up.

Carvalho, meanwhile, is already showing signs of feeling right at home in the famous Liverpool red.

The likes of Elanga and Diallo will be really hoping to kick on for United this season as they look to help push the club back towards those Champions League places.

Quite a crew of exciting talent. Elliott has already shown what he is capable of at Liverpool while Broja and Olise have nothing but bright futures ahead of them.

Livramento is another potential-laden lad who has all the fixings of a bona-fide Premier League star.

Not even close. Saka is absolutely miles ahead of the competition and with good reason.

Considering what he has already been through in his career, it can be so easy to forget that the youngster, who is quickly becoming the beating heart of Arsenal, is just 20 years old at the time of writing.
