Stoffel Vandoorne says he is feeling good ahead of the final weekend of the Formula E season, as he bids to seal the title in South Korea.

The all-electric series will crown its season 8 champions in both the Drivers' and Teams' championship this weekend, with two races to be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Seoul E-Prix, and both Vandoorne and his Mercedes team are in the driving seats for both titles.

Indeed, both hold a 36-point lead over their nearest rivals in the respective standings which is certainly healthy at this stage, but the champagne will be firmly on ice until they have secured both crowns and are mathematically safe.

For Vandoorne, it's a chance to seal a major world motorsport title and, speaking to the press, including GMS, at a recent virtual call, he shared his thoughts and feelings ahead of the weekend:

"I'm feeling good. I've been on a pretty good run of consistently scoring points and I think now it's the last round of the season I just have to conclude it basically which maybe sounds easier than it is.

"There's still some tough competition, some quick guys and I still have to do the job on track. I'm going in with the same approach as I have for the rest of the year, taking it race by race and just as a team [we need to] make sure we have a competitive car and I just have to do the job on track."

Motorsport can soon throw a spanner in the works so Vandoorne will not be getting ahead of himself as he looks to take the title, though he does obviously have it in his hands as things stand and that is all you can ask for as a driver at this stage of a championship.

Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship reaches its conclusion in Seoul, South Korea with a double-header on August 13 and 14, with both races live on terrestrial television on Channel 4 from 07:30 BST.
