In a clip posted onto Reddit by netskyollie, Francis Ngannou has revealed that he weighs over a monstrous 290lbs, some way off the 265lbs UFC heavyweight division limit!

The clip features the current no.3 ranked UFC lightweight Justin Gaethje looking in awe at Ngannou’s intimidating size, claiming that “I’m scared,” before asking the Cameroonian how much we weighs, even predicting that he weighs a huge 307lbs.

However, Ngannou reveals that he is currently weighing between 290lbs and 293lbs, which is still a massive increase in size on his 6 foot 4 frame, with the champ claiming that it is “a lot more than I used to weigh."

The current undisputed UFC heavyweight champion has certainly packed on the pounds since his title unification bout against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 in January, which he won by unanimous decision. And the 35-year-old will have to seriously trim back down before returning to the Octagon, having to shed around 30lbs to return to defend his heavyweight title.

However, Ngannou reportedly damaged his ACL and tore his MCL during sparring sessions in the lead up to UFC 270, which he had surgery on in March to repair and has been out of action for around half a year with.

Ngannou’s return is expected late this year, if not early 2023, and the hardest recorded puncher in the world will only have struck more fear into his potential opponents with his latest bulk.

None more so than Jon Jones, who has been packing on the pounds himself as part of his transition from light heavyweight to heavyweight, where ‘Bones’ fancies his heavyweight debut against the best of the best in either Ngannou or Stipe Miocic.

Many commentators and UFC fighters have already voiced their fears to Jones that facing Ngannou is a totally different ball game to what he has faced previously in his career. However, the two-time UFC light heavyweight champion is confident that his skill would overcome the size difference against Ngannou or Miocic.

However, after seeing the heavyweight champ's recent bulk, Jones may be reconsidering his position on fighting the feared current heavyweight champion and fifth-ranked pound-for-pound male fighter that is Francis Ngannou.
