Robin van Persie was an absolutely incredible striker.

After making his debut for Feyenoord at the age of 17, Van Persie moved to the Premier League with Arsenal in 2004.

Van Persie went on to have great success with Arsenal, scoring 132 goals in 278 games.

He made the controversial decision to move to Manchester United in 2012, a move that annoyed a lot of Arsenal supporters.

But his move was vindicated as he won the Premier League title with the Red Devils in his first campaign.

His time at the club came to an end in 2015 when he departed for Fenerbahce. He hung up his boots in 2019 after a second stint with his boyhood club, Feyenoord.

In total, Van Persie hit the back of the net over 300 times for club and country.

Van Persie really is one of the greatest strikers to have ever graced the Premier League.

He could have been even greater, too, had he not suffered from numerous injury problems in the early stages of his Arsenal career.

Now 39, Van Persie is currently a coach at Feyenoord. His son, Shaqueel, is currently making a name for himself in Feyenoord's youth team and could make his professional debut in the next few years.
