Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is ‘generating interest’ as the club look to offload the player this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Antonio Conte has overseen a busy transfer window but he is still looking to ship out some unwanted stars before the September 1 deadline passes.

What is the latest Spurs transfer news?

Tottenham have so far completed deals for six new transfers at Hotspur Way and splashed over £90 million in the process. Richarlison, Yves Bissouma and Djed Spence are all among the stars to have arrived.

A seventh acquisition could be just around the corner too with Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie close to agreeing to a transfer, although he is expected to be sent straight back to the Serie A side for the 2022-23 campaign on loan.

On outgoings, only two of last term’s first-team set-up have completed moves away. Steven Bergwijn has signed for Ajax on a permanent deal while Joe Rodon has been loaned to Rennes for the new season.

But the club are also seemingly looking to move Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon on, with the quartet being left out of Conte’s squad for their pre-season trip to South Korea.

Ndombele in particular remains a figure of frustration for the club and spent the second half of last season out on loan with Lyon. Currently on £120,000 per week, it is easy to see why Spurs are eager to move him on.

What has Bridge said on the midfielder?

Bridge understands that the 25-year-old is finally attracting some interest this summer after a quiet period.

The Sky Sports reporter also believes that all four of the aforementioned players will still be moved on before the transfer window closes.

When asked whether he thinks the first-team stars will leave, Bridge said: “I do. I thought Ndombele would be the one that potentially might not go because he's just not wanted anywhere. But it does sound like he is generating some interest now.”

Where could Ndombele move to?

After his spell at Lyon, it would be understandable if the Ligue 1 side came back in for his services this summer.

But interest has started to come from across Europe instead with Napoli the latest to join the chase as they hunt a replacement for Paris Saint-Germain bound Fabian Ruiz, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer guru also reports that Villarreal are in the race, with Unai Emery also interested in signing Lo Celso.
