Aston Villa - B

Carragher: "They haven't lost any of their good players big. bought players in. They needed a centre-back desperately so they got one from Sevilla. They got a holding midfielder in and they got Philippe Coutinho as well."

Bournemouth - E

Carragher: "I am very worried for them. I think they could be going right near the bottom of this. Haven't done enough to stay in the Premier League."

Brentford - C

Carragher: "What do we expect of Brentford? The players they've bought in, you expect them to bring those sort of players in. They haven't lost anyone big."

Brighton - C

Neville: "As good as a full-back can be, you can get past losing a full-back. A good transfer window can be selling well."

Chelsea - B

Neville: "It [transfer business] looks a bit scattergun, doesn't it?!"

Crystal Palace - C

Carragher: "Teams like that, it's about not losing players."

Everton - D

Carragher: "Losing Richarlison, they were never going to replace him."

Fulham - C

Neville: "I would say for a club coming up from the Championship, I don't want them to spend. The gap is so big that the money you lose when you get it wrong is unbelievable. You can't gamble any more."

Leeds - D

Neville: "Leeds and Brentford could be in trouble."

Leicester City - E

Neville: "It feels a bit this summer... if they lose [James] Maddison and [Wesley] Fofana, where the hell are they going to get replacements now?! Losing [Kasper] Schmeichel, that character in the dressing room, is massive.

Liverpool - B

Carragher: "They've lost players. Luis Diaz is going to bring more goals to the party. [Darwin] Nunez coming in. And [Fabio] Carvalho is looking really good. They've lowered the age of the squad."

Manchester City - A

Neville: "They've got Kalvin Phillips, Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland in and haven't spent a penny. An unbelievable transfer window."

Manchester United - D

Neville: "The star player has asked to leave and they haven't got the midfield player they wanted. If they don't get Frenkie De Jong in it's embarrassing. If he goes to Chelsea it's horrific."

Newcastle - C

Carragher: "I think you'd be expecting a lot more if you were a Newcastle fan. But in some ways I admire them for not doing stupid things and bringing players in left, right and centre. They got the centre-back, [Sven] Botman and Nick Pope. They made sensible signings but they'll want one or two more in before the window closes."

Nottingham Forest - C

Neville: "They have no choice but to invest and bring in half a squad."

Southampton - D

Neville: "It's been a big reset this summer. I think they are vulnerable."

Tottenham Hotspur - A

Carragher: "When do you ever see Tottenham get their business done before the first game of the season?! I like the players they've bought in. I see them taking the position that Chelsea have been in the last couple of years."

West Ham United - B

Carragher: "I like the Gianluca Scamacca deal, but I like the centre-back more [Nayef Aguerd]. He looks a real good player."

Wolverhampton Wanderers - D

Carragher: "I'll say D. They've kept those players in midfield [Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho]."
