Fantasy Premier League Game Week 1 has been and gone - but who were the best performers of the week?

The opening weekend of the Premier League was a brilliant one. We were treated to some fantastic games, with some great goals and fantastic individual performances. Tottenham Hotspur proved they're in with a shout for the title with an impressive 4-1 display, Fulham proved they can stay up by drawing with Liverpool and Erling Haaland announced himself to the Premier League in style with a brace.

Aleksander Mitrovic

GW1 Points: 13

What a GW1 this man had. Two goals against one of the title favourites and he absolutely tore apart Virgil van Dijk. His brace meant he obtained 13 points in what was one of the shock results of the weekend.

There was some doubt as to who would lineup in Tottenham's front three this season after the arrival of Richarlison from Everton - but after GW1 it's all but confirmed that Dejan Kulusevski will be starting weekly.

Erling Haaland has arrived. He bagged a brace away at West Ham United which has earnt him a total of 13 points. He's going to score so many goals this season and if he isn't in your side, we'd heavily advise you to get him in quickly.

Newcastle United's centre-half has started the season in style. He scored an absolute banger against new boys Nottingham Forest and kept a clean sheet - leaving him on a cool 15 points and topping the charts as the joint highest scorer in GW1.

Level with Schar - Pascal Groß is the joint top scorer in GW1 after he destroyed Manchester United in their own backyard with a brace, leaving Erik ten Hag with a defeat in his first-ever competitive game for the Red Devils.
