FIFA 23 player ratings predictions: Three highest-rated PL players in every position

FIFA 23 Premier League Ratings Prediction

FIFA 23 is nearing its official release date which is expected to be at the back end of September, with excitement for the game ramping up.

Before the game comes out, we get teasers such as the official trailer which is already out and of course, the famous ratings.

So without any further ado, we’ve predicted the top three rated players in each position in the Premier League

GKs:

Alisson – 91

Ederson – 89

Edouard Mendy – 86

Alisson was the best goalkeeper in the league last season, winning the Golden Glove award alongside Ederson. With the Liverpool shot-stopper producing plenty of crucial moments, we think he’ll be the one to get the upgrade. Edouard Mendy is also due an upgrade you’d feel after his solid season with Chelsea and international exploits with Senegal, winning the African Cup of Nations and qualifying for the World Cup.

RBs:

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 89

Reece James – 85

Kyle Walker – 84

Many arguments can be made for Trent Alexander-Arnold being the best full-back in the world. Last season he was one assist off winning the Playmaker award, incredible for a defender. Reece James was electric for Chelsea, with a big upgrade likely for him. In contrast, Kyle Walker didn’t make many headlines for his performances so a slight downgrade could be on its way.

CBs:

Virgil van Dijk – 90

Ruben Dias – 88

Kalidou Koulibaly – 86

Virgil van Dijk is another example of the Premier League having arguably the best player in the world in that position, after receiving a Team of the Season card, a slight upgrade is deserved. The same can be said for Ruben Dias who was in top form for champions Manchester City, making the 2021 Team of the Year. Kalidou Koulibaly is the new kid on the block in the Premier League, with his rating likely to remain at 86.

LBs:

Joao Cancelo – 89

Andy Robertson – 87

Luke Shaw – 82

Not many could compare to Joao Cancelo last season as he switched to left-back, making the Team of the Year, a healthy upgrade has surely been earned. Andy Robertson is still up there in terms of performance levels, a steady performer at the top level, his rating should stay the same. The Premier League struggles for left-backs, with a few likely to be downgraded, so we’re predicting Luke Shaw with a minus two could come in third place at 82.

CDMs:

N’Golo Kante – 88

Rodri – 87

Fabinho – 87

N’Golo Kante is the type of player every manager in the world would want in their team, although he wasn’t at his best last season, so a small downgrade is likely. Rodri and Fabinho were both crucial for their teams in different roles, so seeing the pair get a plus one each is what we’re expecting.

CMs:

Kevin De Bruyne – 91

Thiago – 86

Declan Rice – 85

Kevin De Bruyne is arguably the best midfielder in world football and was rightly rated highly at 91 last year, something that we think should remain. The same can be said for Thiago who played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s success, meaning he should keep his rating too. Declan Rice had a great season at West Ham, taking the captain’s armband and guiding them to a seventh place finish, a big upgrade is on the horizon for him.

CAMs:

Bruno Fernandes – 86

Phil Foden – 86

Bernardo Silva – 86

Not much separates these three players, Bruno Fernandes couldn’t repeat his early Manchester United form so we feel he deserves a downgrade. Phil Foden once again continued to develop his skills, so an upgrade is on its way we believe whilst Bernardo Silva will likely stay the same after a pretty standard season for the Portuguese Premier League winner.

RWs:

Mohamed Salah – 91

Riyad Mahrez – 86

Jadon Sancho – 85

Mohamad Salah’s form last season saw Liverpool break the bank to keep him with a new contract, topping the charts for goals and assists, he deserves a serious upgrade. Riyad Mahrez was consistent again for champions Manchester City, so staying at 86 is a fair reflection of the Algerian’s ability. Jadon Sancho has failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford, so a hefty downgrade could be on its way to the youngster.

LWs:

Son Heung-min – 90

Raheem Sterling – 87

Luis Diaz – 84

Son Heung-min agonisingly missed out on the Golden Boot outright last year, having to share with Salah who bagged 23 goals as well, with an upgrade destined to hit South Korea’s shining light in football. Raheem Sterling will likely take a small hit to his rating following his Manchester City exit, but he is still one of the best in his position. Anfield new boy Luis Diaz took to the Premier League like a duck to water so will see his rating jump through the roof.

STs:

Harry Kane – 90

Erling Haaland – 89

Cristiano Ronaldo – 88

Harry Kane was on top form in all aspects of his game last season for Tottenham Hotspur, dropping deeper but still being as effective, so the England captain is likely to stay at 90. Erling Haaland’s transfer to Manchester City was earned after another impressive season in the Bundesliga, so a slight upgrade is predicted for the Norwegian marksman. Cristiano Ronaldo has wanted out of Old Trafford all summer, with the lack of options highlighting his plummeting stock in the game, so a shocking downgrade is surely in the pipeline.
