Tottenham are likely to name an unchanged side against Chelsea, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Antonio Conte's side kicked off their campaign with an impressive 4-1 victory over Southampton last weekend and Bridge expects the Italian coach to stick with the same XI.

What happened against Southampton?

Having ended last season in exceptional form, which resulted in a top four finish, there was an expectant crowd in north London, and Spurs didn't disappoint.

Initially, it didn't go to plan as James Ward-Prowse fired Southampton into an early lead, but a pair of headers from Eric Dier and Ryan Sessegnon put Tottenham ahead at the break.

Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane both missed great chances to put the result beyond doubt, but Conte's side weren't made to rue those moments as two quickfire goals in three second half minutes secured a comfortable win.

Firstly, Mohammed Salisu turned into his own from Emerson Royal's cross before Dejan Kulusevski rounded off the scoring with a clinical finish, continuing where he left off from last season.

With Spurs superior in every department, they should head to Stamford Bridge confident of recording just a second victory on Chelsea soil in the Premier League era.

What did Bridge say about Tottenham?

Despite having a strong bench at his disposal, which could include each of his summer additions, Bridge doesn't expect Conte to shuffle his pack.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "Last weekend, [Ivan] Perisic, [Yves] Bissouma and [Djed] Spence were on the bench, Richarlison was banned and unless something changes, I fully expect the same XI on Sunday, but with a very strong bench.

"All six new signings will be on the bench, but I don't see where the changes are coming, I really don't."

What changes could Conte make?

For the first time since becoming Tottenham manager, Conte finally has some genuine options on the bench.

From Perisic and Bissouma to having three right wing-back options at his disposal, not to mention the return of Richarlison, who's available to make his debut following suspension, the Spurs boss has built a strong squad.

With that in mind, he could look to bring in Perisic's experience or Bissouma's quality in midfield, but after such a dominant performance on the opening day, it would be harsh to make any alterations.

Therefore, Bridge is right to believe that Conte will name an unchanged side, which was strangely the same team that fired Tottenham into the Champions League last season.
